I believe that being a good and productive South African citizen is like a marriage. In a marriage in takes both parties involve to work at it every day, the result is a happy ever after.
Recently considering the how many strikes, endless corruption by government leaders I'm disappointed to say that the marriage between government and the people is on the rocks.
The saying goes, you must lead by example. Luckily I did not follow in the current leaders foot steps. I only wish Fela Anikulapo Kuti could have told the people that being a good Nigerian takes hard work.
The people must work and not strike at every chance they get. The more they strike, the poorer the country becomes. yes promises were made by current leader and government, most of which was not kept. But still the people have faith in them, voting every time, repeating the mistake to believe in empty promises. VOTE for what you believe is right, write your own legacy.
You can't follow someone's legacy, you can only learn from it, and try to be more exceptional.
